Common reasons CCV may be called in to see an individual are: the individual had a pet and would like to continue contact with an animal friend, they like animals in general, they are in need of extra comfort, family members or friends are not able to visit their loved one as frequently as they would like, the individual may be experiencing depression, loss of a spouse and/ or loneliness or they may be having a difficult time transitioning to a new environment.
